Ellipse attends many events during the year, but sometimes, some events are just a bit more special than others. This one is perhaps the highlight of our entire company journey thus far: The Ellipse Grand Opening.
Why Did Ellipse Have a Grand Opening?
For eight years, Ellipse has called Los Angeles, California -- specifically Culver City -- home. The team has operated out of this city since its inception to launch EVC, connect with industry partners, create the EVC Ecosystem, and grow the company as a whole. During this time, we have been planning and executing our goal of not only creating a new office space for our growing team, but to bring the assembly process of the EVC micromodule to the US and specifically to California.
To that goal, the Ellipse US headquarters & EVC assembly facility has been under contruction for years under the watchful eye of our leadership team, and in collaboration of the brightest technical and engineering minds in our space. Finally, in February 2025, we opened up our new facilities to our friends, family, partners, and other distinguished guests in a celebration unlike any that we have been a part of to date.
What is the New Ellipse Facility?

The new Ellipse US headquarters take up the upper floor of an office building in Culver City, where our US-based employees work out of. Newly renovated, the headquarters serves not only has an office but the hub of Ellipse operations across all of our global locations in Europe and Asia. The core leadership team of Ellipse operates out of this new US headquarters, with room to grow as Ellipse continues to hire and expand.

On the first floor, we built a state-of-the-art assembly line to produce reels of our EVC micromodule, including quality control stations. This new facility provides a US-based hub of production and distribution, in order to accommodate the growing need for EVC all over the world, and especially for the fulfillment of local orders (North America, South America, etc). At full production capacity, the assembly line can mass produce EVC units with a yield that exceeds industry standards.

The assembly facility itself is highly automated, requiring only two operators and two additional support staff to run and maintain the entire line at full capacity. This not only saves on labor costs, but contributes to the yield capacity as it reduces errors and increases speed. The production lines are also scalable in this location, and easily replicated at other locations when demand for EVC necessitates expansion.
How Did the Grand Opening Go?
"When are you guys doing this again?"
We think that question, which we got over and over, is the testament to just how wonderful and successful the Ellipse Grand Opening turned out to be. Despite the overcast weather and occasional drizzles (which we here in California welcome!), the crowd of over 120 industry power players happily partook in food, drinks, music, photo ops, networking, a facility tour, and more.

Guests traveled from over a dozen countries to be a part of our celebration, including Canada, Mexico, Ecquador, Hong Kong, France, Germany, and more. We can't express enough how appreciative we are of all those who came to our Grand Opening. It would not have been the success it was without all of your presence, so we humbly give you our gratitude. Thank you for coming out!
The event wasn't just well attended with business partners, but also local and international officials. In particular, we hosted members of the Culver City Council including Vice Mayor Freddy Puza; they are representatives with a vested interest in how Ellipse is contributing and reinvesting into our home, Culver City. We were thrilled to have them not only attend, but to also bring an official Culver City ribbon (and giant scissors) to be cut for our grand opening. Additionally, the French Council was in attendance as well, which meant a lot to us since so many of our leadership team are French. Merci!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the tireless work of our Ellipse team as well as our event planner Ricki Lewis at Special Event Genie. Months of planning and execution culminated in a special event to be remembered. Thank you team!

But the party at the new Ellipse facility was just half of the celebrations. By early evening, the festivities moved over to Marina del Rey, where everyone boarded a dinner cruise that kept the party going. More food, drinks, and the highlight of the night: the first annual EVC Awards! We hope all the recepients will display these awards proudly, as they were all certainly earned by their commitment to the EVC ecosystem and by their actions in helping to bring EVC to market all over the world. Cheers!

What's Next for Ellipse and EVC?
The Ellipse Grand Opening was scheduled for early in the year as our kick-off for a major 2025. With so many partner relationships in place and the EVC ecosystem in full swing, this year is set to be a banner year for our company and for EVC technology overall in the industry. More big announcements are currently in the works, not just from our end, but from our partners as well.
Ellipse will also soon be exhibiting at Pay360 and Money 2020 in the coming months, as well as making appearances across nearly every major fintech & paytech expo around the globe. Stay tuned for more information on all of this soon!
Again, thank you from all of us at Ellipse to everyone who came out for our Grand Opening. We truly could not have done this, nor gotten this far, without your support. We hope you had a wonderful time, and we'll see you again next year!
