BUENOS AIRES, November 29, 2024, GPC Argentina, a leading provider of secure plastic card manufacturing and personalization solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with U.S.-based fintech company Ellipse to bring EVC (Ellipse Verification Code) technology to payment cards in The Southern Cone. This collaboration marks an important advancement in the security of payment methods for this region, enhancing the way consumers transact online and in-person with innovative card technology.
EVC technology offers transaction-level verification that surpasses traditional, probability-based guardrails. EVC is a cutting-edge fraud prevention feature that automatically updates the security code on a card during in-person transactions or on-demand via a smartphone, providing an additional layer of security for ecommerce transactions, virtually eliminating card-not-present (CNP) payment fraud.
GPC Argentina, recognized for its expertise in manufacturing and processing secure payment cards, has been a trusted partner in The Southern Cone’s financial sector.
